This class will focus on using wet on wet painting techniques, to create a whimsical dragonfly in
transparent watercolor washes and ink illustrations. Participants will complete a pre-sketched
design with a Boho background effect.
This workshop is designed for adults and teens over age 14.     All skill levels are welcome.

Saturday October 3, 2026 10:00am-1:00pm

  • Materials Provided by the Teaching Artist:
  • Heavy watercolor paper with pre-sketched dragonfly ready for painting
  • Watercolor paints
  • Mixing palettes
  • Brushes
  • Sponge blotters for creating Boho effects
  • Micron Fine Point Ink Liners
  • Fine tip white highlighter pen
  • Optional mats available for framing

Description of Your Art Style or Medium: (e.g., watercolor, abstract, portraiture, etc.)
Watercolor, Watercolor Pencils & Mixed Media. My painting style ranges from realism to impressionism.

The goal for the class is to introduce simple line and wash watercolor techniques that can be used by
beginning and experienced painters in their practice.
