Artist Bio

Annette was born in San Diego and has remained true to her roots.
She was a salon owner and cosmetologist for 35 years. In her active career as a hairstylist, she was involved in the creative aspects of fashion shows and teaching the art of hair color and chemical services to other hairstylists. Once she grasped the knowledge of the color wheel, she realized the possibilities were endless.

Her passion for art comes in many forms. Color allows us to express ourselves in unique ways from fantasy expressions of an individual’s style to displaying dreams in vivid color on canvas.

Annette loves using bright colors to express her artistic style, creating functional art with resin. While she has had some formal training in art, most of her creativity is self-taught. Through experimentation with color and technique especially with her favorite medium, acrylic paint she enjoys splashing color on canvas, spraying it with water, and manipulating the surface to let color and patterns drip, blend, move, and develop into something entirely unique. She appreciates the individuality of each piece as it unfolds before her eyes.
