Next Exhibition:  “End of Pawhibition”

The “End of Pawhibition” has officially arrived in downtown El Cajon! After 27 years of strict regulations that kept our furry friends out of the city’s heart, the El Cajon City Council has repealed the 1997 ban on dogs in the downtown area. This marks a pawsome milestone for residents and their canine companions!

Exhibition Dates: January 24 – February 24, 2025

Reception: Saturday, January 25, 4 PM – 6 PM

Join us for a special reception to celebrate this exciting exhibition! Immerse yourself in an array of pet-inspired artwork that showcases the incredible bond between humans and their pets. From realistic portraits of pets to abstract interpretations of animal personalities, this exhibit will capture the spirit, love, and joy pets bring into our lives.

Call for Artists:

• Deadline to Submit Work: January 20, 2025
• We invite artists to unleash their creativity and submit their best pet-inspired artwork. All visual art media are welcome, including painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture. (Please note: AI-generated art and photography are not eligible for this exhibition.)

Eligibility: Open to all artists, 18 and older.

Awards

1st Place: $150

2nd Place: $100

3nd Place: $50

Submissions will be taken online and require a  $20 first entry / $10 per entry after. (Max 3 )

Please drop-off your work on Monday January20th between 11am – 2pm at the gallery

All artwork must be wired [NO sawtooth hangers will be accepted].

Pick-ups will be February 24 from 11-3pm.

Late fees will apply if other arrangements are not made!
