The East County Art Association is proud to present AbandonmenTissues, a Artist Talk and Introduction in gallery 2 of his latest  work for the actual exhibiton in July 10, curated by artist and architectural designer Alvaro Alvarez On April 4th.

This presentation serves as the conceptual introduction to a larger exhibition opening July 10, at the Main ECAA Gallery  1,  where Alvarez will unveil a full body of work exploring the complex theme of abandonment. Through a thoughtful series of works  the artist will guide audiences through the creative process behind the project, examining how the challenges we face both personal and collective can become catalysts for transformation.

The Artist will feature two special events:

  • Artist Talk with Alvaro Alvarez: Exploring the concepts and creative process behind AbandonmenTissues April 4th at 3PM
  • Opening Reception: July 10 from 5-8PM at the Main ECAA gallery 1,  East County Art Association (ECAA) Gallery 124 E Main St, El Cajon.

About the Artist
Alvaro Alvarez holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) and a Certification in World Art History from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. His interdisciplinary practice blends art, architecture, and social reflection, creating immersive works that encourage dialogue and new perspectives.
