Multi-Media Seascapes on Mini-Canvas

Celebrate your love of the ocean with fun to create seaside scenes using acrylics, seashells and sand with instructor, Kathie Bishop, at the East County Art Association this June 20th, 10am-1pm!
Kathie will use a portable projector, to make each step easy to follow. This workshop will focus on an appreciation of our oceans and marine life, as well as promote the artists exhibiting during ECAA Ocean Love show. Mini easels are included.

Art Mediums: Liquid Acrylics, mini-easels and natural found objects from the
beach, including sand, seashells, seaweed, etc.

This workshop is for adults of any skill level. Great for first-time beginners.

PROPOSED SCHEDULE
Saturday Workshop – 2 hours – 10:00am – 1:00pm
o 10-10:30 am – Intro & instruction demo
o 10:30-11:30 am – Paint mini-canvas
o 11:30-11:45 – 15 minute coffee break
o 11:45-12:45pm – Continue painting
o 12:45 – 1:00pm – Spray canvases (outdoors) with Krylon Acrylic Matte
Finish to seal found objects to canvas.

All materials supplied by the instructor.
Liquid acrylic paints, brushes, mixing palettes, 4”x 4” canvases, Mod-Podge for
creating textures & for adhering objects to canvas, Krylon acrylic sealing spray.
**Nature Journal Kit provided to new participants who have not received one in a
previous workshop.
Additional supplies provided by the artist/instructor:

Workshop Goal:
Participants take with them curiosity and wonder of our oceans and marine life and to inspire stewardship and conservation through the art
expression. In addition, Kathie hopes to inspire creative skills in beginners who might otherwise not consider themselves artists.
